SNU Global Scholarship Types and Coverage:
The scholarship awards are divided into the following two categories:
Global Scholarship 1 (GS 1):
- Full Tuition Waiver
- Monthly Stipend of KRW 1,200,000
- Airfare Support (One Time)
- Korean Language Training
- Departure Airfare Support
Global Scholarship 2 (GS 2):
- Full Tuition Waiver
- Korean Language Training
Note:
GS1 and GS2 scholarship awards are decided based on the screening results and the number of available spots in your department.
Scholarship Period:
The SNU Global scholarship is awarded for 6 Months / one semester (for Fall 2024).
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must meet the following requirements to apply for SNU Global Scholarship:
- Applicants must be an international student.
- Enrolled Applicants can also apply.
- Applicants must have at least one regular semester remaining in their program for the upcoming semester.
- Applicants who will complete all the required courses by September 2024 are not eligible for the Global Scholarship.
- The scholarship will be awarded upon receiving admission from SNU.
How to Apply for the SNU Global Scholarship?
The application process for Seoul National University Global Scholarship 2024 is online. Follow the given below steps to apply.
- New students need to create an account on mySNU and sign in. Enrolled users need to log into their mySNU account.
- Go to Academic Affairs – Scholarship – Apply/See Status – Apply for Scholarship.
- Find the SNU Global Scholarship Program notice and click “Apply.”
- You can enter the information from your current bank account if you are a freshman and do not yet have a Korean bank account.
Note:
Extra points are awarded to the applicants who submit a video link (Vimeo & Youtube) in which they present their achievements, story plan, and plans after graduating. The maximum video length should be 5 minutes.

Application Deadline:
The last date to apply for the SNU Global Scholarship is July 7, 2024.
Selection Process:
The selection is totally on a merit base. After applicants apply for this scholarship, their affiliated college/department will screen the applications, decide the type of scholarship for them (GS 1 or GS 2), and update the Office of International Affairs regarding applicants’ screening results.
Shortlisted applicants would be notified by the (OIA) through email.
